We've penciled in Thursday 14th July, however we are just waiting for final confirmation of some details concerning the venue so that we can post officially. Tentatively this is going to be the date.

Better decide early, since that if we will have 100 boats, and families and friends attend, we might have 200 people or more attending, and the caterer must know in advance to the the preparation.

There was quite a lot of activity today out there toxictuna and they are hungry ;)....as Gaffer said all of a nice size +10 kgs easy, so make sure you wear some good gloves when handling the leader.

Good luck

decided to give it a shot... loads of alongi could be seen but not catches. I had different setups and the lures passing right in the action... rapalas, yellow feather, red feathers, weighted, not wieghted, close to boat, away from boat.... not even a bite. What have i done wrong? two weeks ago i got two in  a different weather however (that was the competetion day btw)

We were there today also had a great fun lot of alongi jumping out of the water, dolphins, swordfish and also tuna we had 3 hits landed 2 alongi and a nice hit of a blue fin tuna which have snaped the leader near the boat was lucky to take all the action on a video of the tuna.

Can concur as well, was out with Joe The Gaffer, up to around 5nm offshore as far as the eye could see there were Alongi jumping and feeding on 1 inch lacci so they weren't interested in anyone's lures. Bottom line you either had to be lucky (we got 1 nice one of 10kgs) or stop the boat and chum/chunk or use fresh/live bait (small) rather than trolling.

We did however get a nice 6ft Pastardella that was between 15-20kgs, not sure of the exact weight as the scale we had was a drag scale and only went up to 25lbs :(

You are not alone buddy, me, shanook, fortuna and etienne were out today for a whole 6 hours.
Saw some surface activity, but no strikes at all...
And we had a goo assortment of lures and teasers..... Imagine tony's and renals' alltogether...
Bad fishing day huh

Bad Day Fishing Offshore, but inshore up to say 6nm there were Alongi jumping EVERYWHERE! The hard part was getting them to go for the lures!

Went yesterday, trolled for 2 hours, albacore jumping everywhere but no strikes, i guess they were spawning and not in a feeding mood. Did some bottom fishing instead and had fun.
