Mooring in st pauls bay

This week, MMA placed their yellow buoys and a red rope and secluded all the swimming areas in apparently all St pauls Bay. Most of the boats/buoys including mine were within the perimiter and today I got a diver to move my buoy out of the perimeter and guess what?
there is no space up to over 200m from the shoreline and a total havoc....
Apparently they have also secluded the whole tal-ghazzelin area, all around gillieru to sirens and also in bugibba. there were even cases of people taking up their boats as they have nowhere to moore. Well done Maritime Authority without offering alternatives. By the way, I sent an application to MMA with plans and all for temporary mooring where my buoy was and received the acknowledgement. The least they could have done was inform me at that time! (only a couple of months ago!)

As I always say Benri 'WELCOME TO MALTA' always keeping in mind the sculpture near mambra.
Amazing isnt it eh... we pay registration tax, we pay taxes on fuel, we pay taxes on fishing equipment, we help keep the economy going, we circulate money and yet we get treated like Sh_t.

Hi benri my friend told me that they did exactly the same thing to him and he used to keep his boat on a mooring in Mellieha Bay just off the Tunny Net area. He suddenly found his boat within the swimmer's zone and he found a letter on his boat asking him to move the boat or else be faced with a fine. He has been keeping his boat there for over 10 years but I must add that his mooring was not registered.

yes mate i have 3 morings in tal -ghazzenin ,which  until last year where 4 mt away from the s zone  and guess what ?this year turned up to be 5 mts in the swimmer zone . to make matters worse a 60 ft  berthing dock has changed into a 10 ft for berthing and 50 ft swimming zone . come and witness the madness of our incompetent authority , ther ain't no place left  ,where the hell i am going to buoy my boat  now

as always paying taxes so that the ministers have nice cars, big pay, always traveling, driver etc,etc,etc

yes it's true the moorings where not registered ,but what the hell ? if i do a simple  home alteration  i  have to inform mepa and wait for a permit , we were promised a marina at xemxija and nothing happened cos it was expensive now the mma sheduled all st'pauls bay are without prior notice , and they remouved the billboard which showed last year restricted area .
