| July 11, 2010, 21:37:41 CET There were no fish on board yet so the right time to have a group photo. Skip was hard 'at work', no rest for Skip even when out fishing. Testing some of the latest gear from Musto - we spend lots of money on rods, reels, lures and fuel but very often we overlook our clothing. The reason it looks so clean is because the outfit was brand new on the day, bought Friday and worn for the first time on Saturday. I'm not a fan of sunscreen because I'm lazy about putting it on, but the hat, top and shorts are all rated to UPF50 protection. Long sleeves and tight neck to reduce sun exposure, but the material is quick drying and claims to be stain resistant/easy to clean (later on I did get blood stains and black scale residue on it so I'll let you know how it cleans up). The Musto shorts are lightweight and quick to dry also with the UPF protection, I got a blood splatter in a very unfortunate position!! The hat is a present to myself after the last 2-3 months busting my ass with the competition, it's a Tilley hat, and whilst very expensive I have to say it's the most comfortable hat I've worn all day at sea which all sorts of funky features to keep your head cool and protected. Full review on the clothing to follow after its been through the washing machine.....it said to use Non Bio powder and didn't have any at home! |
