Title: Jet Heads show strong potential
Post by: fin on June 21, 2006, 20:21:30 CET
well we had all behind trolling for the big blue, none to be found however around the 40 mile mark, loads of albacore and they really are taking a liking for the those jetheads. Guys this year it seems to be the year for loads of albacores with jets in their mouth.

Hey all,

It still seems that albi's are preferring shallower and warmer waters like lampedusa. Just got a few reports from fellow commercial fishermen, loads of albi's and small blue fin tuna max 10 kgs around those waters as close in as 200 metres from shore. One interesting fact though that sea temp taken from a vessel over there is of 26 degress celcius.

So at the moment all i can possibly suggest for those adventurous ppl, is take the shallow waters from filfla and head direct to lampedusa of island of linosa. The temp break on the way there seems to be the most stable en route (thanks to E.M. commercial fisherboat for info)
