I had bought a box of worms from Mr Fish but unfortunately did not use.  Can you please advise what I need to do in order that they may survive for another week.

I am assuming that are from those known as tal-korea. If so just put them in the fridge not freezer in the vegitables drawer. keep them dry and cool.

also when keeping them in the fridge i would advice you to put the box in a plastic bag (borza)...dont know why but i found  it  very effective

Yes these are the ones known as tal-Korea. Thanks a lot for your help

It's difficult to keep them alive for more than 3 to 4 days my friend 8)

Put them in a shallow container with about 1" of fresh sea water, & keep them cool, in a cellar or similar, change the water every 3-4 days with seawater from a container you have kept cool (preferably in a fridge or cooled by cooler bags), take them out of the water 24hrs before you use them & put them on newspaper to toughen up by shedding the water they have imbibed ;) they should last at least 14 days if you are careful!

i usualy manage to keep them about two weeks the way i said...obviously its not guaranteed that they will survive that long...it also depends on the condition they are bought from the outlet cause in certain weeks you find all the boxes with all the worms being very weak already

Have anyone tried the earth worm as bait?  any luck with them?

If you are going to leave the worms for more than a week in the fridge - it is going to be difficult to keep them alive! I would not recommend putting them in the freezer with the box and all. One option to try is to soak a cloth in salt water and then fold / roll the cloth (like a cigar) and put a worm or two after every full turn. then put everything in a small plastic bag (maybe a small freezing bag) sand secure all with rubber bands.
Whilst fresh is best there is little degradation in performance especially when fishing for the type of fish you would normally go for with this type of bait.

koeano worms keep well alive for even a month. Some tips are ......
first of all worms must be good quality when you get them - sometimes they come in a bad state from abroad!
keep the carton particles in which the worms are packed moist
place in refrigerator with a low set temp - preferably have a small refrigerator for bait
check every day condition and if you notice any of the worms struggling remove as not to deteriorate the others.

Always keep moist with sea water not drinking water very important to remove any that are dead and as placebo said they can live for more than a month in winter but in summer much less because of the condition they come for abroad.
