Im on the market searching for 5mm wetsuit - open cell (liscia)
Im considering the following brands - omer, beuchat, mares and effesub. I read and heard postive comments about omer and beuchat, however prices seem to start from Lm 100 (slightly above my budget). Im considering the mares instinct 55, any comments pls?
i use a top sub which retail for about lm 90
I think LM100 is a bit too expensive if you are going for an off the shelf 5mm suit; for that price you can probably get a tailor made suit from Italy.

toni i think that if i opt to a custom made from italy, the postage would be excessive and would not be worth it.

I suggest to see your needs. You can buy and pay what ever you choose but the think is what reability it gives for your needs.

guys,
cannot compare products like that.
1st: see the need of the suit,
2nd: type of material on working depth,
3rd: season
4th: body heat
5th: suits that give problems (I just make them out from the list)
for example I use only Smooth SKin. They are really fragile as material, but my needs require that material. I prefare to pay more money of buying more frequently new suits and have better performance. As for the camo, doesn t make so much difference much more if one is starting up but if its there it may help. A thing in consideration is the service from the outlet. Please be sure that you are dealing with the right guys. In past I used to make mistakes of seeing only the price listed and to compare the item with the price, but was wrong. Take good advice from others who used it

I went for a beuchat mondial competition, same one as arti and after a couple of dives i can simply say that it met my needs .. high quality, comfortable, high level of insulation, high level of flexibility.. it simply a great suit .. I definetely recommend it
Hello there, I just bought 1 in January. I bought a 5mm Beucheat. What I can say. Never had a comfortable suit as this. Cold water not a problem. I bought it from Valletta. Edward took me there and can confirm it was a GOOD Deal I made. I will recommend it to my friends and so also to you. ;)
