We fish on shore using only a maximum of two hooks. We count in all types of fish except octopus. We release all the fish once they are weighed. rules will be explained during the meeting. During the meeting we also discuss fishing tips and techniques.  ;).

Oh just to bring to MFF members attention, this is NOT a competition organised by MFF.
Good luck to all taking part and those attending to watch have fun.

Can you clarify what you mean by entrance is limited to club members only. I ask because you have used this forum to advertise your competition, read 305 times, and thus far I have not interfered. However I expect at the very least that you would extend the invitation to participate again the ?12 entrance fee to members of the Malta Fishing Forum as well?

Please clarify.

This competition is limited to club members but all those who can come and have a look can do so even those who want to join in the club. In the coming months there will be other competitions open to all those who want to participate. But because of the reason that The coming competition is one of eight that form part of a league those who participate have to be members so that to ensure continuity to the system.

Hey Blue Sea ....

you still didn't reply to Skip's question though ..... is this competition open also to MFF members ??! or it exclusively to "your" club members ... and what's this club's name anyway ??

Cannot possibly figure out a reason to promote a competition "FOR MEMBERS" on any other forum than your own, unless you'r on the lookout for new members, which if that's the case you should have asked permission first.

Ofc it's not my place to say the above, it's up to the mods of this forum to do that but I can in no way support this club as the only time I happened to be in on site in one of their competitions... well lets just say I wasen't shown the appropriate behaviour I would acspect from fellow anglers.

Freeman my thoughts exactly, 99% this topic will be removed tonight after the Senior Moderators meeting that we are holding. I totally agree that there is no reason to promote this competition other than to try and attract new members. In which case yes Blue Sea should have asked permission as per forum rules for advertising, as otherwise at the very least like I posted an invitation should have been extended to MFF members.
