Anybody visited the Boat Show this year? Any feedback, comments regarding local boat builders? Anybody sharing photos?
Yes just came from the Boat show. There are a couple of nice sturdy boats and some nice fishing boats too. regarding local manufacturers I came across bucaneer and petecraft with some nice hulls. there is also a great display by Hi-tec Marine displaying their Marinello, ranieri, poseidon and selva range. hi-Tec have apparently also taken up distribuorship for Selva 4 stroke which actually are Yamaha. Infact once the outer cover is removed, all is with the name Yamaha inside. Model numbers are also the same as Yamaha's. I also came across Suzuki displaying 2 grand engines on a Chaudron capable of reaching 71 knots!
There are also other hulls from other manufacturers so the fair is well worth a visit if you're considering buying a new boat.

Bryan, please could you let us all know the venue location, opening hours if you know them and the dates it will be open. I'm guessing until the end of this week.
Does this 'show' have a website? Found it strange no reports on the timesofmalta.com or di-ve.com and all Google found was last year's show!
The venue is at the ex sea Malta marsa in that big hut another boat show was held there during last power boats race held here. Yesterday was open between 18.00 and 21.00 to day is the same while Sunday will be open in the morning too. It is worth going, for me the star of the show is the Bay liner trophy Great boat with great lines made for sport fishing.

Saturday 21st March 6.00pm - 10.00pm Sunday 22nd March - 10am - 12.30 3.00 - 9.30pm Valletta Gateway Terminal -near Ex Sea Malta offices. Going from Valletta water front tawords marsa. passed the terminal there is a big hut it is in there you can't miss it.

Just got from the boat show. IT SUCKS !!!!! Believe me A WASTE OF MONEY !! and a waste of time. They have not even managed to fill up the terminal gateway.. A lot of empty space in the middle. After 10 minutes I was out of there!!
fishing boats and equipment?
There was such a mass of people that I almost got lost in there. I managed to get out after 3hrs thank god. ;-) Gets worst and worst every year. Thankfully there were the ones selling the garden furniture because otherwise they wouldn't even have filled half of it.
I was thinking of going this morning,but after what i heard don't know what i'm going to do... :o

Well we are going now skip,if you want to meet there about 10.30.Will be going with maltembu and bigboy.Where ther are boats it's never boring for me.
