I would like to book myself along with my boat for the alunghi and for the lampuki competition. What should I do? Thanks!!
where will these competitins take place?
I imagine that this is just a planner, (moderators correct me if I am wrong)
More details about particular competition and events will be duly sent later on before the actuall event.
Good calendar bros.
I am in for the spearing competitions. I may come last, but what matters is the spirit, and for sure there are no members who will make fun, since there is such a good serenity amongst us.
P.S.
Upppps Sorry there might be some who will make some fun for sure (forgot you busu, fishfinder, bikri ;D ;D ;D ;D)
i would love to participate for the spearfishing competition, but i will take it as a normal fishing trip. just for fun i don't catch fish for competition
Baghire,
rest assured than with the spearos I will compete for the last places. I am the new one here.
Will the fish catched be released after weighing them ( if they are still alive xD)
hi guys the idea of our competitions are based on a sort of friendly type most people who have come spearfishing with me know. the aim is to get people together enjoying their sport not to prove who is the best one ;D
exept if i find dentex then all hell breaks loose :o ;) :D
:O Easy cowboy :P
Well done to all the team , It is very professional group of people that organise all these events. I have been a member for a few months now & always missed the events that were organised. I will try my best to attend a few of the events this year. Keep up the good work.

Don't worry mate, I asked the same question to Skip at 11.30pm on Friday evening...lol.
I was like.... WTF ??? well, as long as its fishing... i'm in....
What about the land fishing competition!
Given the large number of land fishing competitions held recently around Malta and time constraints, I do not currently foresee a competition being organised in the next few weeks.
Mostly this boils down to a lack of time on my side I'm afraid in organizing competitions, but I would certainly encourage someone opening up a post to a) discuss ideas and competition format, location etc and b) to gauge the numbers who would be interested in participating.
I would certainly like to do a land comp this year because we've had a boat and a spearo comp, perhaps seeing some posts discussing ideas will give me a boost!
Skip, if you want, we can organize a competition fom land. We can discuss through the form when, where and what kind of competition we will opt for. Either we can do it open for all fish or just for mullet. Any suggestions. If you want i can take care of the organization.
i think all fish would be better.
Hi Charles, thanks for your offer to help/organize which I know you've offered before (and done last years Mullet comp) even Placebo has offered help in organizing this competition. Can we come up with some tentative dates that gives us sufficient time (min 3-4 weeks) in order to speak to some sponsors. I too think that all fish and land fishing styles with a rod should be incorporated, which perhaps then makes the venue a slightly harder to find.
Last time when we went to marsaxlokk was great the only thing I would change is that people can fish for what they like to fish for.Do it singles since not all members have friends in the forum but people can help others landing possibly nice sized fish.I would like more members to participate because last year we had fun in a friendly atmosphere. As a place I would suggest the same as last time since it is easy for parking, fish are being caught, the weather doesn't effect so much and we can stay on the pontoons and even in the part that takes you to the pontoons.
