does it effect performance of the transducer when installed inside or there are different models?

There are different models i.e. transom mount, thru hull or in hull like mine, if the hull is composed of fiberglass only without any core material the in hull should work great provided you find the ideal location and the hull is free of air bubbles in the laminate.

i have a similar transducer emic. it penalizes a bit when doing very deep scans if installed in this manner. but they are not the same type, just similar and same brand. mine 200/50khz

according to a technichan the best is through hull with direct water contact but it requires professional installation, for sure.

as you know sometimes cannot install it out side the boat cos they will steel it or brake it. I need it for a max of 150mtr depth

a through hull is permanent emic. once installed, it is difficult to remove it

Emic, at the depth range you want, a properly installed in hull should work fine even when you are cruising, but for best results you should match the fishfinders RMS output to the transducers rating. Hooking up a 500w fishfinder to a 1KW transducer will only give you half the the performance you could get out of the transducer. What fishfinder do you have ?
