Just a note to those planning to buy a new evinrude etec. BRP has issued a safety recall on the vapour seperator part no 5007661 . Please ensure that if you are going to buy one see that this part has been replaced by the new part. See recall on BRP site
I am effected by this recall 2 weeks have already passed and there s no indication for this damm part when it will be available .RLR are doing there best, I am positivly sure but the problem lies overseas.
It's annoying when something like this happens just before you were due to launch, but especially with the fuel system it's good that the recall was announced and everyone has been made aware.
It's good to hear that RLR are pushing and doing their best to get you sorted out, let's hope they manage to exert some pressure on BRP Europe as Malta is a small island and hopefully will not be put to the bottom of the logistics queue.
As you say, chances are the new part is in short supply accounting for the delay :(

Phoned today part is on the way. it should be here today or tomorrow. next week they will contact me to have it replaced. Three cheers and tumbs up for RLR on two counts. 1 They have notified me within 24 hrs from the recall and ordered the part immediatly. 2. They did their best to help out as it should be.They kept following the outcome every two days.This is what I have learnt. well hope to put Il Bezz in the water by thursday.
