Title: moon phase & tides

hello to all,
as im not an old fisherman i got a question about a thing that i notify from a watch that i bought recently, the watch reads the the moon phase and tides...i notify that when i go fishing (from shore) and the tide is high the more the catch is when the tide starts going down the less the catch is...i dont know maybe its my immagination, or it works like that??? ???

This is interesting!

Would like to get some true information about moon phases and tides.
So far all I know is that moon is not good when going for sargi at night .....and it stops there
I've been fishing for many years and never really gave some attention to moon phases and tides
