Caught this Shark sucker in the north of Malta. did anyone else ever come accross one?
yes they attach themselves on pastardell as well. I think the pastardella of visa had one, dont know if it shows in the pictures. They are very nice to observe in close quarters. Very Interesting.
caught it last wednesday with a normal hook. To be honest I put it back in the sea as I was afraid of it snce i never saw one. is it good to eat? is it a rare sight?
it must have been stuck to some bigger fish and released itself to take ur morsel of food u should have caught the Big fish mate not the sucker.......
You are right shannok.... feeling like a fool now :-[
Saw one this week while swimming with my family at Lapsi. It attached itself to a lady. Mistook it for a big fish. :D :D Well I think it made a genuin mistake as the lady was really BIG!!
Besides, it is a beautiful fish to see as its white really contrasts with its black body. Does not swim gracefully as it is accustomed to sticking itself to other fish.
Caught one, last week, whille fishing for mullet in Gzira
I think its a remora fish.I caught once in msida by mistake on the skandal/plummet whilst fishing for mullet!
