Title: Sliema creek
Post by: Tracina on August 17, 2009, 09:30:08 CET
Hi guys,

just a quick report. Caught a nice Dipludus sargus around 6:15 a.m. while ladgering in Sliema creek. Setup: 4 m light surf rod (125g max action). Used a running ladgering rig: 50 g running weight and 1.5 m of 0.18 nylon (no fluoro this time). Size 12 hook. Bait: nice wiggly maggots. Will have it for lunch : ) (not the maggots)

Attaching pic... (I know for you guys it's probably a sardine, but for me, it's a start). Took pic after I cleaned it.

I let all his small brothers go except a couple of those small red breams (?) who had swalled the hook all the way. Don't worry, will eat those too ; )
