Today after seeing the news (its not normal for me) there was the sports updates. There was lots of different sports like football, football, football, billiard and some other staff. Why events like the spearfishing, shore and offshore fishing competitions there is no updates. What do you think?

I agree with you perfectly. We try very hard to try and promote fishing activities even on papers, but it is very hard to find a slot and publish the results of our competitions. Sometimes with a helping hand from an ex jounalist we manage to get a small article. The fact is that in our sports there is not much monies involved, so promotion to the fishing sports is zero.

i think that with all the fuss about fishing rules and regulations going on no unwanted attention should be
drawn on competitions held by forum members.

whenever you want to publish something on sports pages you just have to prepare article yourself.

papers are willing to publish but the problem is with journalists.

They are not going to send a journalist and a photographer for some 3 hours in the sun for free!

as placebo said, if you write the article and send to the papers they will publish no problem.......but unless the competitions are catch and release would be  better to simply keep quiet about them......
