Been letting out longlines out the front of Dragonara with little success, has that area been fished out or am I laying them wrong?
What type of bottom longlines ???? How are they made ????
I am not using bait I have been using those little rubber glittered lures (look like squid and come in blue, red, white) have caught some snapper on them but not enough to warrant letting them out
1. Bass line (Surf, mid-water, hooks 1-2 meter from bottom)
500m braided polyester 2mm with 200 mounted swivels
200 leaders 4/0 hook in one end a security snap in the other with lure
2. Snapper line (bottom line, hooks 0-1 meter from bottom)
500m braided polyester 2mm with 200 mounted swivels
200 leaders 70cm of mono 0.60mm with lure
a couple of miles out is past the shoals is there a reef edge out there or are they being caught whilst they swim into the shoals
