Title: Lampuki
Post by: 148148 on October 30, 2009, 20:12:23 CET
Having never fished for it before what is the best method, trawling at day, bottom fishing with fresh bait in the day, can they be caught at night or in the early morning? If so best method?

Trolling during the day is good,as for fresh bait..squid/totlu is the most widely used, and if you can catch a few garfish as live bait they are awesome for lampuki.
As for bottom fishing for them...i doubt you'll get any as they are predominatly a surface-mid water fish and only go deep when the sea is very rough.
You can catch them at night or early hours in the morning..in fact ive caught some real beaut's during the early hours of the morning! and also if your trolling on the surface at this time of year in the early hours if your lucky you might snag a swordie!!

Is it better for Lampuki 6am-9am or 6pm-9pm?
