anyone know anything about the new Lucanus System? ???
It's a different jigging style, less physically intensive and using different jigs and a different fishing system. Basically bouncing the jig/lure along the bottom.
I believe Josef of Misterfish has done this abroad and is stocking the equipment.

what are they good for and how deep will i go with them?
tried that system but i only managed to lose a couple of lures. last one was with Busu. lure went down, one jigbounce back to bottom another jerk and hey presto I caught............the bottom.......tried all conceivable methods to free lure and finally lost it at sea............Hey dentex destructor if u find it its mine ok

actually skip did...... on the day of the alungi competion, july 2009...... 2-3 jigs in 15-30 minutes if i remember correctly....... nic can tell us better :P
and granitu as well 3 jigs in 15 minutes!!He said that it's the barracudas fault!!.... ;)

Yep i got a small barracuda on one once,but tbh i think this was a bit of a "one off"..imho knife jigs are more consistantly successful...btw i also managed to loose my Lucanus on the bottom too!
