Title: Braid Fishing Line

i got the 2.0# Braid Fishing Line 1000m 41.8LB 0.24mm 100%dyneema from ebay. ill be using this ever day is that to much ill be trolling and jigging for my boat? i need the 350m for the jigging and is it ok for live bate or will i have to put a leder on it?

maybe even tell me what line will be good for jigging?

50lbs braid is good for most type of fish, it's only perhaps the 30kgs+ fish where you might want 60,80 or 100lbs depending on your preference. Trouble with that line is that if you jig in deep water you are more prone to be affected by the current with thicker line.

In fact for deep drop jigging 50lbs is recommended.

I also think that a good quality 8000 size reel filled with 50lbs braid is ideal for most of the fish we get around. Then run a 60-70lbs 2m fluoro leader with some shock resistance.

how do you put in a shock resistance? and what size jig will be good with the 41.8LB 0.24mm i have a 600g but thats to big not sure what the others are??

Try and buy the newer shock fluoro like the Blackwater stuff.

Some rods give a min-max rating, others will just say 300g in which case that is the upper range and the usable range is 50% of the max so from 150-300g jigs.

I like to use the 150 and 200g jigs only occasionally switching to a 300 for deeper water.

i have a penn 345 reel will that line be ok for it?
