Malta Fishing Forum

For all those new memebers signing up from now onwards, forum member cards will be produced every quarter (every 3 months), with ideally people signing up at the begining of the year. The overhead to keep taking care of cards here and there on an adhoc basis has become too much, so it will now be done every 3 months.

First batch for Dec, Jan and Feb have been sent off to the printers and we will be posting them out in around 1 weeks time.

Skip how will I know its time to renew my membership? I am at that "certain age" when I cant remember "er indoors" birthday unless I put a reminder on my PC! will you generate a "reminder" post on a regular basis, so that we know when our renewal is due?

All current cards expire end of Dec 2010. For simplicity reasons the forum membership fees will be due at the end of every year.

Like many other clubs etc if you sign up mid year, your renewal will still be due at the end of the year and not 12 months from the date you signed up as the admin overhead is simply too high as everything is processed manually.

I had my card halfway through the year, so I must now be a lapsed member? I think a general "MEMBERSHIP FEES ARE NOW DUE" would be in order to remind us that we are out of compliance.:o

Done it! renewed by Paypal, conscience now clear, now allowed to catch Maltese fish in July! ::)

yea keep on dreaming blueskip, BUT if u try the picture gallery there are loads of fish that dont have a piece of clothing on them. So the MFF has complied with ur wish and another member is happy.........

You still had a couple of months to go so you're well in time and nothing to worry about except I heard those fish will be getting even bigger for you as a thank you!!

All cards received before Jan have now been done (took me a dreaded 3 hours) and will be sent out by post tomorrow.

We've had around 8 new members sign up since then so when it gets to 10 I will ask if Intercomp will be kind enough to print them before the next quarter.

I'm sending off the latest batch of pooled membercards for production this evening

All pending member cards are being sent off early Monday morning for printing and will then be sent out to members next week (13 in all so far). If anyone has signed up as a Premium or VIP member but not sent in their memberform for the card/discount voucher please get in touch asap - sometimes when we send the memberform to hotmail/yahoo addresses it goes into your Junk mail (what an insult :p) hehe!

Then email it back.....one is sent to every member when they make a membership payment along with a couple of reminders. Unfortunately if our email address is not added to your whitelist it will very often end up in your junk mail box.

nic, mine expires in december..... can i just settle the balance for 2011 from now ?

It would be better if this is done towards the end of December as the new Paypal system works on an annual 12 months basis so if you do it from now it would be Sept '10 to Sept '11

The preferred method for membership renewals is either a local cheque payable to Malta Fishing Forum or an Internet Banking Transfer, with Paypal being offered as a last resort for those who don't have access to cheques, Internet Banking or are based abroad.

For all options we need to know your forum username - Cheque (Write on the back), Internet Transfer (Enter in transaction narrative), Paypal (Dedicated input box provided).
