Title: porta-bote/portable boats
Post by: sg on April 19, 2010, 10:22:27 CET
hello, has anyone ever seen or tried these boats? they seem to be popular for fishing in lakes, but i am not sure if they are strong enough for the sea.

I couldnt stop laughing when I read this post, no offense SG. We tried this boat about 25 years back in USA and it folded up on my friend when we tried to open it up.......what a laugh he was practically folded inside........
I wouldnt recommend it for lakes just imagine for seawater. If you want to have some fun its ok but apart from that dont touch it. (oh i dont know if they have improved any from that time till now)

Hi ive seen one from these here in Malta. to me it looked like a strong boat but i dont know how would it handel il the sea. I think its good for port fishing when its not windy. If your interested in one i would ask a friend of mine who knows who imports them here.

In my opinion it is better that you buy a small boat like albatross for seawater.I think those boats cant resist in sea.
