Title: downrigger release clip and cable
Post by: malliadan on May 10, 2010, 17:10:57 CET
where can i find the release clip for the downrigger preferably adjustable since i don't know the right tension needed.

also where can i find some good replacment cable since it snapped and took the planner and clip with it

i already found some prices on ebay but i think that the clip will be cheaper here

thanks
Daniel

i know that Mr fish has them not sure balout okuma but if he does he will post for sure. There are different ones. there are those that are tied to the wire going down and those tied to the weight (planer). make sure u get the ones for trolling...........they are usually slim...

yes daniel how many lures do u troll using the down rigger one, two three....
the idea is that u can troll directly from the ball weight (which is one type of release clip) and the rest of the lures are trolled from the wire going down (this is a different type of release clip).
