Title: bahar ic-caghaq inshore fishing
Post by: sg on August 04, 2010, 09:34:38 CET
i have tried fishing from the shore at bahar ic-caghaq, but never caught anything...any ideas? it seems that the only fish which come close are very small ones: they nibble (and eat!) my shrimps (gambli) but never get caught, though I use size 10 hooks.

I use a paternoster rig, so it does not really reach very far out i.e. the sea is not very deep...would it be better to use a different rig?

leave the size 10 hooks for now and try changing to worms.

bahar ic caghaq is a good place to fish in rough seas .... calm seas at this time of the year is not very encouraging for shore fishing

i would try going a little bit further up from splash and fun where the sea is a bit deeper

splash and fun area from the shore is as dead as a well....... don't bother...... u'd enjoy it more down at sliema ferries up to tigne point.
