Title: VHF Technician

Does anybody know where I can take a VHF for repairs please? I have a sort of loose contact in the volume knob since it sometimes dies out and only gets back when I start meddling with the volume! I already took it to the agent "Power Centre" who after keeping it for a whole week told me that it was working fine! Thanks guys!

Two choices Brian, either Caruana Marine centre, or Fabian enterprises.  Caruana Marine Centre is at the beginning of the bypass which leads from bir-id-deheb to zejtun.  Fabian is next to medcomms in Gzira.  Even Medcomms have their own VHF technician.

If I won the GPS yesterday I might have considered but now, I have to save for a HDS first!

While it is out for repair, there is a brand new base unit at the garage take it till you have urs fixed. Hate to see a friend go out without a VHF. talk to you later.

I have a spare VHF too if you need it Brian. It's a base, but still in very good working condition.

Where did you buy the vhf from...take it to the sme outlet,mthey may have a technician service available.

Take it to Fabian's enterprises, or Caruana Marine centre.  Both have excellent electronic's technicians.
