Title: frajjel qarnitu?

i caught one like this.    is it  same taste like usual octopus?

i will answer you from my own experience, although i must confess ,there are quite a few members that knows more than me on this subject.when one cooks the frajell,it simply vanishes from the pot.much more than the common octopus.as for the taste,i find it tasteless.nevertheless,it is still very good as bait but boil it for less time than the other octopus. just my penny worth.

it is long snce I caught on of these, but if I remember well it tastes like common octopus...

Thats one of my pictures. As for the taste personally I prefer it more than a normal octopus. It is called both 'Frajjel' and 'Qarnitu'. One thing about it that it is more slimy than a normal octopus and when dead its size is elongated (jitwal). Usually found more near sandy bottoms.
