Holy Lampuka! A proper bull dolphin fish. Did he/you confirm if it was a male or a female? I would imagine at this time of year a male.

I know a friend that a lampuka like that had attacked him and had siries ingery. He was diving with his brother (both strong men) and when he was going up from an aspetto from 25mtr, he looked up and saw somthing stange. Went up and at 15 mtr the 3 lampuki went aproching him. He shoot the biggest one and told me that the other two went hitting him. A fish like that could make you siries damages

That dolphin fish must have been on creatine!!

Emic, in any case...we're still dreaming of the day when we'll see one like that...we'll still shoot when they'll show up - what kind of injuries did they cause?

As I know, the lampuki went upon him for the octopus attached to the float. And as I remember one of them for sure hit him by the ribs. I will conferm it and let you know better

Sometimes the bigger they are they act like lamb and come with the line next to the boat. I only remember
seeing a lampuka like that when i was small about 40 years ago, but saw plently like it in Barbados, where they catch them that size. Boy do i wish to land one like that from my boat,

very nice catch there!

i only went out at sea once, with a fishing charter boat (which cost quite a lot) i only had the chance to fish twice and bagged 2 'bazuta' or so he called them, and a very big sawrella - never thought they could get that big! :)

Make sure you check out the Cost sharing section this summer bmamo. If people have place on their boat for someone and are going out fishing they can/do post in that section and you share fuel costs etc.

Nice Bull............nice catch by far better than an alunga for the trill and fight. As Visa said its not the first time that i noticed that the small ones give upa better fight than the bigger ones.
