Title: Trailer Rollers
Post by: Moonwalker on September 26, 2012, 01:29:26 CET
I am looking for good rollers for my new trailer for Petecraft 20.
Any suggestions what type of rollers to use at the middle and the sides, how many, and from where to buy please?

If your going for the black rubber ones, the best I found are from Ta Bormla. Very good rubber.

Julian, for bigger boats consider bunks instead of rollers. Do some google searches on bunks vs rollers on larger boats and even there was a good video on Youtube.

Bunks spread the weight much better and put less pressure on the hull. But rollers have the advantage when it comes to launching from typical local slipways.

Great. What about the ribbed rollers or wobble rollers are they any better than the normal ones?

@skip - I am considering bunks at the front and rear only since I will be towing the boat evey time and using only bunks the boat tend to get stuck.
