Title: Evinrude Parts
Post by: godwinca on September 27, 2012, 13:13:43 CET
I am planning to change the water pump and and anodes, and have sourced them from a website www.marineengine.com. Has anyone ordered parts from them? are they reliable? Or is it better to buy them from the local agent perhaps at a higher price?  ;)

Try this website cause it's a very good one and recommended on Evinrude ETEC Owners website. You can search throughout various years for Evinrude parts.

Marineengine.com run a very helpful discussion forum for the various engine brands so I reckon they are a good outfit to deal with.

Barnacle Bills owns the ETEC Owners Forum and would be another great source. Haven't found a good place closer to home in Europe yet.

Thanks malvizzu, however my evinrude is not an e-tech, perhaps my next one will be, but I am still happy with this engine since I bought it new in 1996 it has been very reliable and economical (only 25hp) but is quite noisy and smokey (old technology). Thanks skip as well.

This website is not for ETECs only because the list goes from engines manufactured in 1968 up to 2012. You just have to choose the year your engine was manufactured, compare the model number and you should get the parts list.

Click on this link: http://epc.brp.com/Index.aspx?lang=E&s1=9d0e4963-62f0-42b5-b1d2-e3431a68b255&brands=ej and

1. Products - Evinrude EN
2. 1996
3. 25HP
4. Select model number

Here you can view all parts. Take note of the part number and send Barnacle Bills an email with your request. Ask them also for shipping costs.

Hope this helps.
