Title: Gel cot restore
Post by: toxictuna on March 16, 2013, 12:24:02 CET
Any one ever used and recommends a good gel coat restorer. My boat looks a bit faded after some years even following some elbow grease polishing every year. On the net i found a product called vertglas which seems to be well recommeded. Any one knows if there is a local agent?

Have you tried polishing with G3? First use G3, then polish, then wax.

If it's really weathered then you'd be looking to lap the surface with Wet and Dry depending on how bad it is and then work to a finer wet and dry before commening with something like G3 and eventually finishing compounds.

You might try a patch with this first as well http://www.farecla.com/industrial/profile-gelcoat-restorer-wax
