We actually satellite tagged this 1000lb plus Black Marlin while fishing the Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic near Cairns in Australia, and the marlin was released in good condition to continue its breeding cyle.

It was a Black Marlin Photo contest which has come down to the last five, held on 'Marlin Magazine' Facebook page.

We actually caught all the footage of this marlin being sat tagged, and broke two tag poles and nearly hit our deckie, just recently during the Lizard Island Black Marlin Classic....check it out
