The Federation is again this year organising the annual Alongi Competition.
As the poster suggests, only those anglers who are member of affiliated clubs with the Federation can apply.
And you can only keep 3 fish the rest have to be donated
Guys, the applications are now open. This competition is being held with a good cause in mind. All those who would like to apply, are kindly requested to contact the Federation Secretary, Dr. Joe Carabott D'Amato on 79958522. An allocation quota for any BFT caught during the competition is also included.

By general request the Federation has decided to open the Federation Amateur 2014 Alungi Competition to all amateur fishermen. As usual all profits will be devolved to charity (Fondazzjoni San Pietru).
Participants that are paid up members of Associations affiliated with the Federation pay a subsidized fee of € 35 for a crew up to three (including skipper)). Participants that are not members of Associations affiliated with the Federation or are not paid up members pay € 45 for a crew up to three (including skipper). Additional crew in excess of three per boat pay a fee of € 15 per person.

Please note that regulations stand as previous competitions with these major differences.
a) Each boat can hold for personal consumption three fish per boat. All extra catches will be devolved to charity following weighing.
b) Starting Ports Birzebbuga and Bugibba.
c) Tuna catch must be weighed at St Georges Pier Birzebbuga and then landed at Marsaxlokk where Fisheries Officer will tag and register catch.
