Title: Spooling a reel
Post by: Ruzett on March 13, 2015, 22:53:42 CET
When spooling a reel for spinning, do you just simply tie a knot and start reeling or are there any things that you need to be careful of?

Just make sure that the line coming off the spool is facing upwards.  So the line needs to come off the spool from top.

@ gaffer. What do you mean by "coming off the spool?" thanks

@Reeling - the line coming of the spool, this means the source of your line.  The destination being your reel.

And if you're spooling braid make sure to keep the braid on tension while spooling it  ;)

Ok, so tension and line coming from above the spool are the tricks. Thanks
