Title: Boat insurance
Post by: felic on May 26, 2015, 17:32:53 CET
Hi All,

I'm interested to start a new insurance policy for my 22ft pleasure/fishing boat , and would like to know your opinion about the best local agents that offer a good package. All opinions are greatly appreciated and considered.

Thank you.

I use Petra@Melita Unipol and have been very happy with the insurance package. They are underwritten by Middlesea.

Some things to check/stress with the insurance company, if your boat is Valletta registered make sure you ask for Coastal Waters 40nm otherwise you will get 12nm by default and have no coverage if you go out further. Lots of people miss this, and it needs to be specifically mentioned as an endorsement on your policy.

Some members are insured with Gasan Mamo and are happy, there's Atlas, M.I.B etc.
