Dear members,
I intend on buying a new Tohatsu 40hp four stroke outboard to be fitted on a 14ft boat. What do you think about these new four stroke outboards?

Tohatsu are now represented by PTR Marine. Tohatsu make pretty solid outboards, but there needs to be a distinct price advantage over say Yamaha or Suzuki in my opinion to buy a Tohatsu because parts are expensive compared to other brands.
Try and consider buying the dealer (the after sales relationship) rather than the brand.
