Title: Sperfishing regulations
Post by: meldbest on July 18, 2015, 14:15:19 CET
In Summer sometimes I like to do spearfishing at night with all the equipment needed to be visible at night. However yesterday I was confronted by a man who told me that he was going to report me because it is illegal to spearfish at night. According to him you can only spearfishing from sunrise to sunset. Is it true because I never heard of this regulation. Thanks alot!!

It does not make sense to spearfish at night. Our sea has already been decimated of fish and at night it is a non contest. There are many who spearfish at night and actually it is quite easy to catch them if the police want to enforce regulations. Moreover there are many who spearfish with aqualungs day and night. When are we going to learn that at this rate in a few years the only fish we see will be on documentaries? (And by teh way before you started spearfishing you should have made sure you knew regulations well because a lot of ignorance let the hunters to where they are now and I fear we will end up like that).
