I've been looking up information about spinning and deciding on what gear to get, and although it looks like good fun, success rates in Malta seem to be quite poor in general from the old posts on this forum. My main concern is whether it is actually worth getting started in the first place.
Would it perhaps make more sense to set up for ultra light spinning instead, possibly with a higher chance of catching something such as bream or blue runner for example?
I'll mainly be sticking to the stretch of coast between St Julians and Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq.
