Title: WANTED: Events Co-Ordinator!!

Dear All,

As many of you have probably noted, there's great interest amongst forum members to meet up, exchange fishing stories, and have some booze and food at the same time. With my existing commitments and keeping the forum running, I don't have much time on my hands to solely organise these type of things, plus I'm not very good at it!!!

So if any members would like to assist by acting as forum co-ordinators for social events, competitions etc please reply here and get in touch.

Thanks Shanook for the compliment :).  Skip, if you need a hand, I'm here  ;D.  However, I also beleive Shanook could provide valuable input to this initiative.  How about it Shanook, together, we team up and get this show going ;D

At the moment i am really really busy (will give a hand when needed). i am working on a tight schedule to finish the summer apartment as wife and kids want to move to bugibba, we usually go late in June early July. now they want to move like yesterday........
But I will help whenever needed.

Hi guys
I had a conversation with skip as regards a mid summer bbq. He than directed me to this topic, and therefore I am herby posting my last letter to skip. Tel me what do you think about. If anyone agrees, I will be more than willing to sort out everything. I will only need confirmation and number of persons, that will have to attent if booked, cause I will have to book it. We must be at least 20 persons to organise this.

I checked exactly with the guy. He is a very good friend of mine. I can arrange everything otherwise I can give you his number and you fix it yourself. I don't want anyone to think that I am making profit out of it. I always think twice before organising something.
The thing is that he is getting really busy, his bbq are really worth, and so we need to book a date soon if we agree.
The exact content of this bbq is:
He will bring generator, benches, tables, cuttlery, food & drinks, ice, dico music, light, and all needs. We need to bring nothing....
starter - Pork & beef sausages
             1 drumstick with honey
             1 drumstick with Tandori Masala
              maltese sausages in honey
Main -    Either Steak (cuberoll) with diane sauce and chips, or chicken breast either grilled or with same sauce.
Dessert-  Usually watermelon.

Drinks - Open bar (including: wine- gellewza frizzante, merlot, chardonay, beer- lager and heineken, soft drinks-coke and sprite, and water)

All of the above costs 20euros per person. He is willing to do bbq wherever we ask, as long as it is accessible for the equipment. Usually he does them at gnejna, but we can anywhere.

Kids pay 5 euro only and usually he cooks either burgers or nuggets for them.
If we want a private pool at busket forest it will cost 5 euro extra.
If we want also spirits (jack, JB, vodka etc) in the open bar, it is 5 euro extra.

I think that I made a good picture of it. I beleive that it is more than worth. If you want, give me a date or approximate day of the week, and i will ask him if available. Then we open the booking.

When are you thinking of haveing the bbq. the reason i ask is that i will not be back in malta till 21 august.so if its before this date i will see you all on the next one.have a great time.

I thought somewhere mid august. I was thinking of a sunday evening huh!! Do you agree?? If yes, I would look for an available date for this guy.

If you all agree with the idea guys, I will fix a date and start the bookings. I will take all responsibility and bookings.
I will post a menu, and price, time and place. For the place I will take any opinions.
Just tel me where is it best to place the thread.
