SUMMER BARBECUE 2008 ;D ;D ;D ;D
Date: Friday 8th August 2008
Venue: Gnejna bay
Price: 20 euro Kids: 5 euro
Everyone is invited including guests.
You do not need to bring anything along, everything will be provided ie: tables, benches, light, disco music, cutlery, plates, food and cold drinks.
Menu:
starter - Pork & beef sausages
             1 Drumstick with honey each
             1 Drumstick with Tandori Masala each
             Maltese sausages in honey

Main -    Steak (cuberoll) with diane sauce and chips.

Dessert-  Usually watermelon.

Drinks - Open bar (including: wine- gellewza frizzante, merlot, chardonnay, beer- lager and heineken, soft drinks-coke and sprite, and water)

Kids: either burgers or nuggets (just please let me know)

P.S. if anyone would like chicken breast instead of beef, let me know in advance.

I would also like to add that the minimum number of persons to organize this bbq has to be 20, so come on join in. Please also note that the bbq is going to be organized by third parties, so whoever confirms his attendance is expected to pay.

So if you want to meet other members of this forum, practicing your same hobby, join us into this bbq which will be one of a kind for the summer 2008.

Please post in confirmation for number of persons attending,  any kids? And if you prefer chicken breast!

Sorry mates this guy is booked already. 8th will be the day, I am sorry. Definitely one cannot plan a date which will be the ideal for everyone. But please make an effort, god knows how many times we went fishing from work or other way round.

Came for me. We're planning a trip to Siracuse and are still watching the weather. During this time of the year I always head up to Siracuse for a 5 day break, good food, excellent wine and why not, some shopping!

Make sure that everyone confirming attends to this bbq, third parties are organising.

As regards gianpula................... ::)..................good idea..... I was thinking to go for a dive before the bbq, but if so I will have no energy for gianpula......so.................I will see............maybe I will change plans.............

Time for bbq is 8:00pm onwards......Meet at gnejna on the left hand side.........You will se tables and lights, and a green range rover with a trailor.

Bring along pen and paper, so that they will exchange recipes fot the fish that we catch./ :P

baghira well done for the bbq you managed to organise, I really enjoyed myself. At last now i know some mff members and they are a good crowd to be with. I would suggest an end of summer bbq.

I am still tired after all that cooking and setting up, but I am really happy with the result.  :o :o I woke up at 2pm the morning after feeling very tired, and with a terrible headache,,,,,,,,,don't know yet what was the cause.if the bbq or Gianpula afterwards.... ::) ::) ;D

P.S. Do not tell my gf.........

We had fun, and you always meet somebody new..... Looking forward to meet all of you again.

hi guys, even I make mistakes and sometimes I write in maltes. I wrote in other topics and its not fair that we write a lot in maltese. Some expressions that should be said in maltese there will be nothing to do about them but for us where it doesn t make any differnt pls write in english.

Just post in where would you like it to be done, if by the sea or in the forest :o if by the sea state which beach, (place has to be accessible for a car, since bbq equipment is on two wheels)

Aw gazzetta *by the way which one il-mument, l-orizzont, sunday times, jew the sun*, isma mhux int ghidtli x 2 jew ha ggenninni ??? isma we do it on the north side, since the ones that organise are from the south. They have to carry loads of stuff, and also go couple of times to local council for permits. We also have to find an alternative place (which I already have), just in case it turns bad weather.

Shanok you are right, I just organised this without knowing, as soon as I said that I am interested, boom there were already 7 bookings.hahahahahaha :D :o :o So as soon as I put in the date, I will do a new thread, and tel skip to do an advertisement in the homepage.
