Title: lampuki/bft setup
Post by: claudevella on August 04, 2008, 18:14:08 CET
does anyone know if i should put a weight to catch BFT/lampuki on my trolling line. I usually use a squid trolling at some 4knots....

Slightly different set up for BFT and Lampuki especially at the moment given the size differences between the two.

For BFT you need to troll at 5 knots + minimum

Lampuki prefer slower speeds but then you use small squids and can put an inline weight.

Usually the stick posters with the poles opposite the church and all round the bay !!  I'll let you know if I'll get an answer from a friend of mine who has his boat there.

hi fishman. for st pauls bay you have to go and pay under Gillieru. They haven't opened yet I think and you also need to pay for membership in the club.
