Title: Question about bait and Method
Post by: intermilan on September 16, 2008, 11:10:37 CET
Can somebody help me.

I would like to fish with Gambli or squid as bait.

I will be fishing in the Armier/Marfa area.

Now, is Kahli , Awrata bottom feeding fish or do you have to fish for them with a running float or a fixed float? is Gambli and squid good to use as bait for these types of fish?

I will be fishing with a reel and not close to land as I like to cast out in deeper water.

What is the best setup for this? I usually use the PATERNOSTER method

Usually Mr Fish has Xkall on Tuesdays about 4cents maltien. a little expensive if you buy alot..........but they are good.

The trick is that you hook the xkall from their tail so that you don't kill them whilst fishing ;)

As Kaptan Jr said you have to call MR Fish first to check if he has in stock otherwise Bibi or hniex tal-korea are also ideal.

IMHO and for how much it counts,  for the price they are selling ckall I would preefer to buy a hniex tal-Imperjal. It holds better when doing long casts and it is a very good bait. Sometimes ckall tends to come off the hook when casting.

It depends more were you intend to go fishing. My opinion is in port areas ckall is very good but for more open waters I prefer hniex and even squid[fresh] can do a good job.

@fisheye.It's thrue regarding ckal.I think it's the same price of hniex when you buy a lot.12 euro cent each.... ??? ??? 8) And i like hniex better.
