Title: Fish Findder
Post by: gottie on June 14, 2006, 12:38:27 CET
Just rigged my new Garmin 340 C. Very satisfied with it. ColourTFT screen resolution is incredible. But I am still learning my way around it as I never had a fish finder before.

Nice, let us know how that goes. Did you buy and get it installed by Medcomms?

Got it on e-bay. Worked out much cheaper. I installed it myself.

Gottie,
May I ask how much it had cost you to get it from Ebay and did you have any hassel to get it through customes?
I am asking because I am? interested to fix one for my new boat.
Also did you get a through hull sensor i.e. did you need to drill the hull?

Hope that since your last post you got quite used to it now.

Cheers

Total including customs cost Lm 215. I am going to sell it if you are interested. Have a look at the 4 sale items. I'm actually very happy with it. Its the Garmin top of the range fish finder. Selling it as I want an integrated chart plotter. but That will dent my pocket quite a bit as they are very expensive. There's a description of all the specs and features in the for sale section.
