I would like to ask whether anybody uses fuel additives with 4 stroke engines in order to keep injectors/fuel system clean and in good condition. I have a Suzuki DF140 and in the US they seem to add "Star Tron" to their fuel.
Benri, not only for petrol but I use fuel additive for my inboard diesel engines too.
There is a particular brand I use I forgot its name (costs some eur 15 and recommended by all mechanics(I know of)) but I vouch on it. I give the engines a treatment with Eur 120 of diesel every 4-5 months. When I inspect the injectors they are spotless - As new. No Carbon deposits or pittings.
Especially for us who use engines at low revs for fishing, sometimes carbon deposits starts building up affecting compression - and not always the deposits clear up.
For petrol, it might not be a major issue but for sure it affect consumption and emissions. For diesels - basically it is the hearth of the running of an engine.
Also, I notice that since I started treating the engines I am never experience problems with the heater plugs and the engines from cold start very easily.
Granitu - I would be very interested in knowing which diesel additive brand you use. I'm somewhat surprised you forgot the name of this brand, since you speak so highly of it. Do try and remember the name and share it here. I for one would be very interested in trying it out.
I am going to use "Fuel tank medic" Euro 28 makes 500 gallons. First time u use u have to change the filters as they get clogged from the dirt of the tank.

Probably it's a Bardal additive which is commonly used with petrol or diesel and bought from petrol stations!!!

Confirmed - Bardal - the same additive can be used on diesel or Petrol. Really good albeit in my opinion overpriced
is it ok to use with 2stroke outbaurds since you already mix the 2stroke oil with the fuel?
