Title: help on Yamaha 4-stroke F115AETL
Post by: cronos71 on October 12, 2014, 10:08:03 CET
Hello colleagues fisherman and marine enthusiasts.
Appreciate if someone could help me.
I have a 2nd hand 2007 Yamaha F115 and noticed recently that trim sensor was not working. So I found the sending unit which was jammed. i cleaned it up and now its like new but still did not work. So i followed the wire and to my surprise found a wire that leaded to no where. Yes it's connections were cut and hidden inside the motor. Even though i opened it frequently i never noticed this before. My question is if the attachment for the trim sender is the one shown below in the photos. The sensor has a pink and black wire and this is the only connection in the engine that has a pink and black connection. Can someone confirm or guide me better. If it is as i am suspecting, still need to see how to manage to find the end connection that fits that connector though.
Thank you.Cronos71

For the sake of others, i tried the connections and it is actually the trim connection. i managed to find some female connections that fit exactly from Eric in Luqa and it worked.

Thanks,
