spearfishing hot spots

any good places for spearfishing? .............i like going under ghar hasan and near freeports's breakwater. but i would like to know some other places please soemone

i have been spearfishing i think almost 10 years know but have taken it seriously for the 4yrs any good place please someone?

you have to try always new places my friend to get some hot spots the only thing i can tell you that the hot spots are reduced to the minimun these days so one have to stick to his secret place to catch some decent fish.

you have to see the sea temperature, time of the year and after all your limits. All around malta is good but you have to know and record all dives you do so you gain experiance.

You mentioned 2 good spots but somtimes it s full off fish and sometimes there s nothing. See the conditions and you can plan better your dives

Only thing is that if you find hot-spots watch out not to overdo it and 'overfish' the hot spot (like a pett with sargi and stuff). Basically cause you will be shooting yourself in the foot - such spots its best to preserve them by catching one fish (usually a big one hehe) with least disruption possible, then once in a while visit it; either for a fish or just to admire and preserve it.

It might sound strange, but in the long run its really rewarding

I find The west coast more productive then the rest but you need to go and search for good spots and as jean said you should not over fish an area or else it will not remain productive
