Today i bought a new harppon anbeuchat arka competition 750 anyone else got one? if yes how did you find it. tomorow morning gona goto qawra point to give it a test. Also bought a small torch which i will connect to the harppon with a custom fiber glass mount that i made for it. Still got a buy a reel and another band for it though, when im done pimping it up will get a pic to show you the result

Really interested in the torch one, I tried to do one but had problems with the spear !!

the torch on the harpoon is not very practical i think.. it gets in the way in the tight and small crevices where we usually find fish. it is more practical to hold the torch in the other hand and point it where you like.. just my 2 cents

i agree with claudio and some times we use the torch to move the fish in a crack or tana

Speaking about modding your guns (I'm quite a junkie at modding stuff) and at the cost of sounding completely insane, any one of tryed fixing a laser sight to your guns ?

Freeman i,m not a spear fisherman but i love your idea of the lazer sights.should work especially at dusk/dawn.I made one up and fixed it to one of my guns,works ok.

your shoots must be instintly and no lasers or staff like that. To put tha setup is a bit hard cos even if you r working in a cave hunting the fish runs and its hard to control the gun with the tourch.

Best I found is a slim tourch and place it on the other hand and use it only when necessary

i am new to this forum, i am 28years old from siggiewi (emicmalta i know you by site) and i love this sport the thing is that ido not have enough experience.  Through the years i bought all the equipment mainly sporasub.  I am willing to learn from anynone who have the patience to give me good advice.  I also have a 13FT boat which we can use preferably on the southern part of the island since i take it down from near freeport anyone interested please leave a message.  By the way i need to change the rubber slings of my viper 90 anyone has some suggestions on any brand and type.

thats good that you r from sig, let me know your no with a pm cos I go a lot from lapsi even for 2-3 hrs from 5pm so we arrange and go together

the torch works great on the harpoon, howevevr it is a very small torch the size of 2 pencil baterries connected to a mound i made on the underside of the harppon just infront of the reel, doesnt get in my way as it is close to the harppons handle anyways.
