Hi All,

I hope anyone who keeps (kept?!!) their boat in Xemija removed it last weekend as the weather turned nasty and blew up to a good Force 6 established from the East / NE.

We came out of the water on Saturday 13th in the morning and at around 9.45am it blew up to a good Force 4. I heard that on Sunday several boats broke free and could be found in various parts of the bay against the shoreline!

The weather forecast at the top of the site certainly came in handy as we were able to see the weather moving in.

in this pic you can see 2 of them sunk there is another one with the tip sticking out near the white one looks likew a few been lost this week

Yep been bad. I have mine at bugibba and its like waiting for the boat to break lose. Checked it yesterday and i had one rope that came off at the shackle that joins to the chain. Now I am on one rope. My next door neighbour (moorwise) had holes in the side we took it up yesterday. I have to wait for the weather to settle down a bit to take boat up (against my wishes) as the marina is not suitable to take boats up when there is a swell. Kollox imnellah ghandna hawn malta (first and foremost my Maltese)

Do you think they will use the money they are charging for fraud to do something about proper ports???

PS gottie your boat was ok till yesterday as i checked them from close up. Will pop over this evening around 3/4pm to check mine and will look at urs

its a pity that boats break loose. I know the feeling as that's what had happened to mine but at least some kind people at st. pauls bay managed to hold it from banging against the rocks for me till I got there. I still had some minor damage but. The boat broke loose from where the buoy was tied to the bottom chain i.e. the rope broke loose from around the timble that was shackled to the chain from the "combjatura". In fact I still haven't tied the buoy yet as I'm not sure on the best way to do it - I'm also considering a chain all the way up- any opinions would be welcome.

My smaller boat broke loose yesterday in st paul's bay. Luckily someone towed it ashore. My Fletcher is still battling the waves. I plan take it up on Saturday morning as the should be calmer. However it should go up back to force 7 on Sunday. Shanook I checked your boat this morning it was ok.

If your on this site and you have the small fleckture in front of the toilets in birzebbuga unless you do some thing .... Your boat is about to go under... going to get worse people force 8 on sunday
