re caps if one had to wait a bit i am thinking of the logo on a cap but we have to wait a bit for it. As soon as i manage one will let u guys know. Apart from that there might be others interested in doing a cap, more than welcome to go ahead and do something.

I agree logo should be the same on front, image on back side. Same logo should go on caps as Shanook said. This helps to create the MFF look.

Buddhagrass: I understand what you mean...it can be done so that it fades int0 the black of the cotton. Re the harpoon I was playing with the idea  but decided to keep it out so as to leave image a bit 'neutral'....but we can do it of course.

Busumark: I agree...not more than 2 or 3 designs so as to keep costs down...each design will require separate origination cost at printer.

Holidays will be starting next week and so hope to have 3 designs ready by end of year......unfortunately cant go diving right now so might as well do these.

Final design would depend on how much we are going to spend  as cost will be related to number of colours....we might end up having to remove the 'photo' parts and make it all line drawing. I had the idea of doing close-ups of fish heads like my avatar but with one or 2 colours only the effect might not be as I imagine.

I agree with the idea of having different categories for the back but keep same front.
The design is superb but as was said before too complex. If cost is high we can opt for simpler options and have three categories: underwater, land and offshore fishing.
caps can be same logo as front.

Hi ppl sorry didn't post something but i have made in 15 minutes a sort of image. The position of the separate images isn't important, i chose the best of the fish i found on the net .eps format.  besides the image i was going to upload  a .eps (vector file which i used) but i could not upload because it size is above the maximum attachment size [[this was the file which i posted an image earlier]]. i have various other files (.eps) which whose interested, may use.

any suggestions? could someone alter the images/ combine with his existing MFF logo proposal, maybe using some of the material i will provide?

Toni, the reason why I asked you if it's possible to add a speargun is that the way it is at moment reflects another type of discipline which is Apnea (Freediving). As far as I know there is no one over here who practise Apnea (Freediving) by itself. So just by adding a speargun it will automatically indicates that the subject is spearfishing  . I thank you for dedicating most of your free time for this project. I am 100% convinced that we'll end up with some great material.

Hi guys.
I was thinking of a design that can incorporate both fishing and spearfishing, into a nice design which can be just in one colour and still attracting, or eyecatching. I do not beleive that we have to do more than one design, at the moment, but that's just my point of view. I also do not like the idea of the sqarish photograph print, I would like to come out with something not dowloaded, but something designed from scratch. And it is for this reason that I went to a professional. Hope that you do not hurry, and wait to see what he can come out with. Usually as you said you had to pay such person, and I definitely do not want him to do the work for us free, and not even consider it.

I have to still thank all of you, for the active participation.

FAVA pls. the picture that you came up with needs to be banned, since that the scuba diver that you illustrated has nothing to do mate, with our sport.

It would be nice if the respective logo is designed by the members themselves. What about propping up an art design forum competiton for the respective logo?

May I suggest that we start a topic where all those interested in buying such Tshirts will put down their names and qty wanted. This will help those organising this to plan better regarding expenses and costs.

Good idea, but perhaps we ought to wait first till we have some designs so people have a better idea of what they will be buying.

The first one off the 'press' will be something along the lines of a Polo shirt and/or Tshirt with the revised Malta Fishing Forum Logo on it and the rest plain.

We'll follow with the same only this time on a tshirt there will be a designed print on the back, and carry on from there.

In terms of 'ready-made' back tshirt designs where we might add some text as a catchphrase, caption etc I am including some below which we can purchase, BUT when used for re-sale the license is quite expensive, around $100 per image.

There are some very good pics there Skip! The $100 shouldn't be too much if split by the quantity, which I offhand calculate should be around 50 for the initial order!

Skip, don't get me know wrong. I really like these stocks but honestly I'de prefer something like Tony is doing. I would imagine these stocks more on caps, keychains and stickers than a back T-Shirt logo. I think if I haven't seen Tonys first design I would have been happy with these on the shirt but it seems we can have a better design from what Tony have shown us

Hello to all,

I saw this post and am glad of this initiative. I take care of the design material for a large company in malta. I can help you out to find a suitable printer for screen printing and a designer if you like. The logo above by Spnotta is very original and cool!...It rocks man!

I also like his idea of placing a posts with these designs, giving a deadline to contributors to posts logos and choose the best from them.
