My two pennys worth, got tangled three times so put in one rod and fished with three rods, travelled all the way from first ridge to second and all the way from gozo to filfla keeping as much as possible on the ridge, enjoyed myself, the sun which was not that bad due to the clouds in the early morning, changed lures from soft to hard and a mixture, motor worked perfectly expect that as coming in i noticed the oil gauge twinkling, so that when i gave up and started retuning back, nothing serious just that i servised the motor before the alarms went off so now need a filter changed. Prosit to everyone, organsation was near perfect. Prosit to the guys who caught and relased the tuna, and prosit (Lucky) to the ones whho caught the winner. Total petrol used Eur 100 How much did you use??? Just to compare.

It was pretty expensive coming from Msida. Over the day we covered around 65 nautical miles and used about 90 litres (?115 from the Msida fuel barge) of fuel. I guess if we fished for a living we would now be trying to sell our Alonga for ?15.50 per kilo just to break even - any takers?
