Guys,

I will soon be selling my Furuno FCV-620 colour digital fishfinder.  I've had the fishfinder for 3 years now, and thinking of moving up the ladder.

The Furuno FCV-620 is a high performance dual frequency (50 kHz and 200 kHz) Colour digital fish finder with high transmission output power of 600 Watts. Featuring Furuno''s DSP technology that displays underwater conditions in 8, 16 or 64 colours on a waterproof super-bright 5.6" LCD screen, the FCV-620 has been designed specifically with small fishing and recreational boats in mind.

You have probably heard about digital fish finders, but are not quite sure what the difference is. The main difference is the filtering capabilities and auto adjustments. The new FDF (Furuno Digital Filter) technology helps adjust gain, STC "Clutter" and output power, as well as suppress main bang (the echoes just below the transducer.) It also makes the picture clearer and easier to decipher. But even the best digital filter will not help unless you start with a solid basis, such as Furuno''s renowned fish finder technology.

The Furuno FCV-620''s waterproof construction allows it to be installed on any bridge. It can also be easily flush mounted. Audio and visual alarms alert you whenever preset limits are met for water depth, water temperature and fish echoes. Selectable display modes include High or Low Frequency, Dual Frequency, Zoom, Marker Zoom, Bottom Zoom or Bottom-Lock. It has a maximum depth capability of approximately 800m and comes complete with a dual frequency transducer with temperature sensor.

I always got clear readings upto 600mtrs.  The unit is coupled to the Airmar B744V 600W dual frequency Bronze through Hull triducer measuring speed, depth and water temperature.  The unit includes a fairing block.

The full set was bought for Lm440, but will gladly accept HALF PRICE...i.e. Euros 500.

The unit comes out once I put the boat on the hard, sometime in October/November of this year.

I am advising now so that if anybody is thinking of ungrading/purchasing a new fishfinder, mine will be available soon.
