Members Xmas Drinks Event - 28th December

Once again time has flown past and our Xmas event is almost here; I didn't realise it was scheduled for next week....already!

We're due to be meeting up next Thursday 3rd Decemeber and I was going to propose the same venue as last year which was a success, Zeta Bar near the Cinemas in Bugibba.

If we go to Zeta we'll get the free nibbles and food that Mark produces along with good bar prices, a nice sized area outside for people to smoke and chat and also Buddhagrass has managed to arrange that we can show spear fishing videos, jigging videos and any other fishing videos that we want on the big screen. There will be music playing but it won't be blaring which should make it easier for us to speak. Bar prices are very well priced hence i think it would be good to go back there, but of course we're open to suggestions to an alternative similar venue.

The second question relates to the date......even though we've set this early in the year I think some of you might prefer to do it after Christmas perhaps something like Monday 28th Dec or maybe Saturday 2nd Jan instead, having given you all a chance to do your Xmas shopping, time with your family and enjoying the festive season. And as many of you might also be on leave during that period making it might be easier for you to attend after Xmas.

It would really be great if we could see some new faces and make this something that was attended by more than the usual 30-40 members, especially as we have over 1300 registered online members!

In conclusion (sorry I do go on a bit!!), let me know your preference by posting your preferred date which we'll take to mean that you're available to come....and we'll work in on the majority. If we're going to do it Thursday we need to have a good idea by Monday.

I think the 28th of December will be good,and a lot of people will be on shutdown so will have more members hopefully!!...but for me no problem about the date..I always attend

Hello Skip and fellow members.

We are going back to the U.K. to spend some time with the kids, over the Christmas period.
We leave on 22nd Dec and come back around the 6th Jan 2010. So if the date falls in between those dates, then I am sorry to say, we shall not be able to attend.
But I am sure there will be future dates, when we can get together, it would be nice to meet some of you guys.
I have only been a member of the forum for a few weeks and during that time, I have had a lot of help and advice off fellow members, for which I thank you all.
I would like to take this opportunity, to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a very prosperous New Year.

well, for us with ACCA exams, it would be better if the event took place after the 15th-17th of December.....

Skip any day between the 12 December and the 9 th jan will do me then I can come and meet you all also the Zeta bar at bugibba is ideal for me. We stop just round the corner from there, also is it for our parteners as well or just for members thanks for your help
